Temporary Assistance

Temporary Assistance is Missouri's Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program. It gives money to help families with children that have low income and limited resources. The money can be used for things like clothing, utilities, and other services.

When you get Temporary Assistance, you must participate in the Missouri Work Assistance program (MWA), which helps you set goals and get the skills you need to find a job.
